The form of the PTypes typology is based on David Keirsey's reconfiguration of the typology created by Isabel Briggs Myers. My purpose in using Keirsey, Don Riso's Enneagram types and subtypes, and Brau's astrological signs was to show my typology as both comprehensive and systematic. I did my best to match Keirsey's type descriptions with the Oldham styles, but a true one-to-one relationship between the types of the two systems is highly improbable. So, my primary intention was not to try to help people see what types they are in the various systems. The "Correspondence" is an example of "correlative thinking" and is not meant to try to represent "the very nature of things."

Up until January 2005 I accepted and hand-posted comments to this page; I'm now providing a new comment and forum system from Disqus.
